Why Cruises are the Best Vacations for Families

Wednesday, November 4th, 2009

Yes, you heard me right. In my opinion, one of the best family vacations with kids is a luxury cruise. 1. One of the best things is that some cruise lines let young kids go free or for reduced rates. Between January 22 and May 28, kids sail free on most of Disney Cruise Line’s 3-night cruises when accompanied by two full-fare paying adults. Such lines as Norwegian and Carnival also offer shorter cruises with kids going free or with deep discounts. 2. Typically, for many cruise lines, 10-day cruises or longer attract an older crowd, 2-3-day cruises attract party-hearty adults, and 6-7-day cruises include more kids and kid friendly programs. So choose accordingly (unless, of course, you cruise on Disney). 3. Most cruise lines have children’s/teen programs to offer. The lines include Disney, Carnival, Royal Caribbean, Princess, Holland America, Celebrity and Cunard. Check with other cruise lines regarding their offerings. Most ships, thus, offer a parent/child orientation with the youth supervisors on the first day of the cruise. Take advantage of the crucial information they offer. Program quality may differ to some extent, and it may be important to ask exactly what each program actually offers and whether it keeps kids busy all day as well as evenings. (Also, if you have kids in diapers or newly potty trained, make sure in advance the ship offers a program for them). 4. What about lodging arrangements? Some cruises have cabins that are large enough to sleep five; others have adjoining cabins. But, if not, be aware that cell phones do not work on the ships. If your cruise line does not offer larger or adjoining cabins, it is probably crucial that you buy walkie-talkies your family can use. The walkie-talkies can also be extremely handy whether in the cabin, separated on ship, or engaging in shore excursions. 5. Ocean liners are even larger than you probably imagine, so walk the entire ship with your kids when you board so they can become even a little more comfortable. Take your younger kids to the children’s program each day and pick them up when it’s over. There’s a really good chance they’ll get hopelessly lost if they try to navigate the ship alone. Also, it’s a good idea, if your older kids are wandering the ship, that they write on a pad in the room where they are at any given time. 6. Show a little consideration. Don’t allow your children to shriek, run, slam doors, jump on the beds, pound on the walls, etc. Other guests deserve to enjoy their cruise too. 7. Some on-shore excursions may bore the kids to tears (or pouts). Children usually love fish and animals. A visit to an aquarium, underwater sightseeing exhibit, wildlife park, or even a submarine ride will be fun. And you might want to insist that everyone gets together for dinner. Besides possible excursions, it may be about the only time the family is all together. In view of programs offered for all ages, a cruise may be one of the best family vacations you will ever enjoy.

What kind of cruise are you taking? Are you planning a week-long trip at sea in one of the major cruise lines?
Who would not want to be in a sailboat to enjoy many of your favorite items in one place?
No shopping, gambling, recreation, sports and activities, great food, and to venture into the different ports. But did you know that there are other types of cruises you can enjoy on any vacation?
We are here to open our eyes to the different cruise ships that you and your loved ones can get out. Are you curious? Good packing, loosen the strings, and we will venture into the open sea to see what fun you can have!
Our favorite cruise vacation:
1. Luxury / pleasure Cruise. A week or more in a gigantic cruise ship, enjoying luxury at its finest. Caribbean, Europe, Hawaii, Alaska, or any cruise you take, you will embark on a journey that takes you to places you've never been before.
Visit the various ports of call, excursions and shopping tours, food and more on any of the islands, relax or participate in activities when possible, or drink / eat their vacations. It's all there, especially when you are investing in top cruise lines and really try to a life of luxury.
2. Theme Cruise. How about a Disney cruise ship or cruise company? Their program can be a bit 'different type on a theme cruise. Ideal for family getaways, romantic getaways, honeymoons, and celebrations, a theme cruise can provide that little more can be found on a traditional cruise.
3. Gambling and Riverboat Cruises. If you are a passionate player of love or have a weekend and hit Las Vegas or any area of the casino, then a game cruise will transport you to do exactly what I love, play cards, take in entertainment and enjoy good food in the open ocean. Why not add to the enjoyment in more than a cruise?
4. Day cruises. No matter the holiday destination that risk, resorts offer exciting day / night cruises. Fun for all to enjoy making your choice of dinner cruises usually with live entertainment, guided tours, singles cruises, family cruises, and entertainment. You can see the sights, enjoy a wide range of activities, delicious food, fun and above all, good company and views miraculous.
5. Barefoot Cruises. Instead of a large boat to sail away, why not take a barefoot cruise on a sailboat. This is a cruise experience you will never forget. Meet with other sea lovers to relax, sunbathe, read, socialize, dance and party from sun up to sundown.
This is just the tip of an iceberg to give an idea of how much fun you can have and what type of cruise you can enjoy. If you want to live the life of luxury for a few days, hit the casinos, or spend a few days on earth and a couple of days at sea is a cruise for singles to families.

Kid Friendly Cruise Ship Vacations

Thursday, October 29th, 2009

There’s no vacation quite like a vacation taken on board a cruise ship.   More than ten million Americans now enjoy the luxury of a cruise each year, and the majority of them travel with their families.   Because the demand for family cruises has grown so much, in fact, all the major cruise lines have revamped their ships with improved facilities to appeal to their customers regardless of age.

A few of the cruise lines have decided to target families with children. Their efforts to provide affordable cruises which offer plenty of kid’s activities and clubs, and on-board areas reserves strictly for the under-12 set, along with all the amenities to keep Mom and Dad comfortable and occupied, have earned them plenty of repeat business.   Disney, Royal Caribbean, and Carnival Cruise Lines are three cruise operators known for providing maximum kid value for your vacation dollars.

While the activities aimed at kids under twelve will vary from cruise line to cruise line, here are some of the more popular ones:

Carnival Cruise’s Camp Carnival is divided in to four age categories, with programs supervised by trained counselors running throughout the day from 9:00 AM to 10:00PM.   Toddler activities (ages 2-5) include finger and face painting, storytelling, sand and Play-Doh art, and Sony Playstation 2 activities.

Junior level six-to-eight year olds can do what the toddlers do but can also enjoy a pirate hunt, or compete in an ice-cream eating contest and a junior Olympics.   Intermediate level nine-to eleven year olds can try jewelry making or scavenger hunts.   They also have nighttime swim parties and ping-pong tournaments, and can show off their vocal talents at karaoke.   For rainy day kid fun, Carnival has youth spa treatments and the H2Ocean science program which teaches kids how to make ice cream.

Like Carnival Cruises, Disney Cruise Lines divides their under-12 activities according to age groups, beginning with the infant and toddler nursery, the Flounder’s Reef, staffed by child-care specialists.   Older kids can learn to draw cartoon characters, or make their own pirate flags to be judged by, of course, Captain Hook!  They can also practice their investigative skills as members of Goofy’s Gumshoe Investigators, or watch a homemade volcanic eruption!   Disney removes all the worry about traveling with your youngsters by supplying you with pagers when you drop them off for their day’s activities.

Royal Caribbean offers three age groups under 12 in their Adventure Ocean program, with activities scheduled for varying hours depending on whether your ship is at sea or in port.   They also include parent/kid activities like talent shows and scavenger hunts.   One feature which sets the Adventure Ocean Club apart is that your kids will be kept busy onshore as well as on the ship, with supervised beach parties, crab hunts, and sand castle building contests.

If your reservation about taking a cruise vacation has been that the kids would be bored out of their minds, nothing could be further from the truth.   While the three cruise lines discussed here have excellent activity programs for kids under 12, they are by no means the only ones which do.   So put away those reservations, and book the cruise ship reservations which will give you and your kids the vacation of a lifetime today!

If you've been thinking about a wonderful holiday cruise, but are not sure that the cruise line, or choose to go, then you might consider a Disney cruise. Disney brings a touch of magic and attention to detail to the high seas to its custom built boats. Disney Cruises are not only suitable for families with young children, but the passengers of all ages will find a wide selection of things to do while on board.
There is no doubt that children and Disney go hand in hand. Will have the time of his life inspired by a Disney cruise and kept busy with fun activities that will keep your interest. There are also possibilities of entertainment and activities for adults.
And since they are happy to keep kids busy with their activities, parents can also enjoy your time and relax knowing that children are safe and have fun. Of course, there are many things that families can enjoy doing together, creating great lasting memories.
Disney Cruise Line is currently one of the smallest of the voyage at sea, with only two boats. But all reports indicate that the ships are beautiful, built with high standards and strict name Disney.
The ships were named the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder and recall the art-deco style used for cruise ships during the early part of 1900. Two more Disney ships are being built luxury to help meet demand for this popular cruise conglomerate.
Both ships also has a number of innovations in true Disney approach to doing things well and with a single touch. One of these innovations is the way they rotate their customers through a number of its restaurants during each cruise, so that not only the food every day, but so are the surroundings. In addition, you will also find specialty restaurants only book you can choose to dine in, as an option.
Disney, because it is a family oriented company, you will notice that the booths have been designed in a family-friendly. They are larger, about 25% of what they find on other cruise lines, and include clever touches in the cabins to make it easier for children and parents to have their own space. In addition, over 70% of the cabins have a porthole or a gallery, which avoids the claustrophobic feeling of the passengers.
Holding the Disney cruise was called to take a vacation into a floating theme park. Each boat has four different themed restaurants, a "neighborhood" that has many entertainment options for adults, a shopping area, a Broadway-style theater with live entertainment, and even a cinema. Furthermore, three pools, a spa more than 9,000 square meters and over 15,000 square meters of land that is strictly dedicated to the amusement of children.
Home port for cruise ships Disney is the port of Cape Canaveral, Florida. This port is only an hour drive from Disney World, which made it easier for people to enjoy the combination of packages that provide a couple of days at sea, with a couple of days in the Magic Kingdom. Most packages include air transportation and ground transportation needed.

Cruise Ship Vacations are an Exceptional Approach to Travel

Saturday, September 26th, 2009

A cruise is nothing, except that you have choices: sleeping in a disco in the late-night get-together or a cup of milk, like the sun on the balcony of an evening dress in one way or sideways around a race course of in-line skating. And all the cruises out there is competing for your interest, doing everything possible to lure you onboard.
You can make the holiday of a lifetime, seeing the world, but relax, take a walk on the wild side, hopping all night party at the extraordinary food, taking unusual, forge friends, bond with family, peaceful and steal moments with your spouse. Whatever your heart desires, is yours when you choose to take a cruise vacation.
A cruise offers the journey of Best Buy, you can get for your money. Includes meals, your cabin, you're on board activities, nightly entertainment and all the sponsors. Each cruise is one and all tourist destination in itself.
The cruises and vacations are a logical equivalent: Both are good – sometimes biz. Also, when you sail during the holiday season to all the fun of building-in the party and the party in the excellent food, plus another person to cook, someone else do the decorating and entertainment, and another person to fix Holy mess later. The only thing to do is get your Christmas cards for you.
A cruise vacation eliminates 90% of the hassles of a land – based on the visit. Your cruise ship is your floating hotel, restaurants, clubs, discos, tourist office and wellness center. Take time to enjoy the holiday without having to wait in a hotel or car rental control – on the lines.
In a typical vacation, the family is regularly closed on a cruise vacation is not. Everyone can follow their interests and to join his family in a predetermined time. A cruise is ideal for family reunions because there is something for every generation, the joy within
Expect to be pampered, massages, and stuffed with culinary delights. We hope that your mind wanders, thinking about the cruise ships of yesteryear. Expect to feel deeply relaxed, euphoric, caressed by the sun, sand and wind, we expect the exceptional. Briefly. . . . Relax and enjoy!
If a poor family of 10 or a large group of 100, a cruise can be the best place for a meeting. Family reunion members can book accommodation used as a basis for lunch, touring and socializing together. They want first-class programs for children, entertainment and activities. But we also do everything that the party has time to pursue their own interests alone.
They are usually going to understand what the canon of their cruise vacation to be the first to go. Additional costs will be tours, cocktails, spa treatments, beauty salon and casinos.
You can view it as a prepaid vacation with extras of your collection. Discerning what is included and what is not included lets you control from holiday spending more closely.
Payment of your cruise vacation will depend on your accommodation preferences. These accommodations range from a booth inside a suite with private balcony overlooking the sea. Each cabin has two single beds or a queen – bed, bath, shower, television, and makeup table / desk.
When comparing the price of a cruise vacation versus a land – the holidays, consider that transportation, hotel, meals, entertainment and activities are included. Even a comprehensive package that can not land at the beginning (not going anywhere).
A cruise is a great way to experience a range of destinations you may want to check for a longer time interval ahead.
These days the cruise ships offer rock climbing, basketball, video arcades, swimming pools, spas, gyms very well with the yoga and spinning classes, indoor track – skating rink and, yes, mini – golf.
Remember, you only unpack once, no matter how many ports of call you visit. No check in or check-out and not running to make flight connections in order to get the next door. He sleeps while the ship is carrying a new destination. Asleep and awake in a commercial for a new, and it's unzipped.
All your movies, entertainment and room are included.
It has a place in the best restaurant in town.
You have several options for shopping, tourism, entertainment and sports.
Cruise Travel is for those who want their holiday, which is the best possible cost.
Choose to navigate the kitchen. Awaken your palate with gourmet cuisine that showcases the great ingredients, old standbys like pizza and ice cream or spa cuisine for a healthy choice. Depending on your choice, dinner in a ballroom normal environment, a casual bistro or trattoria pis.
Menu against carbohydrates are the latest rage among cruise lines.
Do not neglect the 24 – hour room service, which is also free.
Here is a suggestion of cruise: Choose cruise for romance. Lonely beaches in the private dining room on a balcony overlooking the ocean and spa services for two are just some of the occupations available to love.
In several cruise reviews, cruise routine obtained the highest scores on the enjoyment of customers including all types of holiday.
While attempting to cross for the first time, loved it. The lament of the major cruise lines to listen again and again is that cruises end too soon!
What is not included in your cruise?
Typically, these products and services constitute individual are extra. Most alcoholic beverages, soft drinks, salon services, shore excursions, gift and sundries onboard purchases, Internet usage, long – the long distance telephone calls, tips, casino games and transport from and to your Cruise, extending the payments.
What are you waiting for? Sailboat for cruise ship vacation!
Happy cruising!
