What’s a fun/neat way to give this Xmas gift?

Monday, June 7th, 2010

I bought a cruise for my boyfriend as an Xmas gift. I was a fun way to give it to him though, not just give him a few papers that says we’re going on a cruise. On EBay I have purcased a little Southwest airplane, a plastic Princess Cruise ship, postcards from St. Thomas and a mug from St. Maarten. I don’t want to arrange them in a basket, I want it to be a bit more challenging, like open one at a time but I don’t just want a stack of gifts…what’s a good/exciting way to have him open these items that will slowly start to get him mind working and trying to figure how these all tie together?

What is a decent wine to give as a xmas gift, My dad is big into harleys and collects harley things also so I may get him a bottle of “v-twin zin” which is put out by harley davidson.

But any ideas of what to get for my mom? I want something different not just a plain wine.

Gift ideas for mom?

Wednesday, March 3rd, 2010

What should I get my mom for Christmas? She said no more jewlery and she already has enough candles to light up the nation. I live right near Patrick Henry mall, so I have access to Macy’s and JC Penny’s. I’m only 16, so I can’t buy alcohol and she dosn’t drink anyways. I already bought her a baby corn snake early, so pets are out. She already has slippers and a robe, and we both wear size 1 jeans and the same size shirts, so she already has plently of outfits and can use mine so clothes are out. I have about $400 to work with, I just don’t have any ideas.I’m already buying her gift certificates for a manicure/pedicure and masage on our Christmas cruise, and she can’t stand her face touched for a facial, so those are out too. We already hang out alot and I already help out around the house, so I can’t give her a coupon book, and her boyfriend always takes her out to dinner, so i can’t do that. what do you get for the woman that has everything?

No offense taken, but I chose Xmas just because it was a bit shorter. I will be sure to use CHRISTmas in my other questions!

Corporate Christmas Gift Ideas

Sunday, January 17th, 2010

There are hundreds of gift items that can be given as corporate Christmas gift; so choosing which one to buy for your client, employee, partner, and regular costumer may involve a little bit of understanding on his or her interests and personal taste. Nonetheless, there are timeless gift items that are ideal for Christmas present. One of the most common corporate Christmas gifts you can give is gourmet Christmas gift basket since it suites any age, gender, and preference. Chocolates, sweets, cookies, and other types of goodies loaded in one basket will surely treated as special by anyone who receives it. Another ideal corporate Christmas gift is Christmas gift certificates. This is perfect if you are clueless on the type of gift that will be appreciated by the receiver. Giving away Christmas gift certificates will also relieve you from spending your day thinking for what type of gift to give and looking for it at the department store or online shops. Christmas gift voucher is another ideal corporate Christmas gift you are give. If you want to give something from his or her favorite clothing line but you do not know his or her taste and size, then it is better to give a gift voucher than risking and wasting money for an item he or she would now even use. Christmas gift voucher however is not limited to clothes and apparel. There are gift vouchers for restaurants, health spa, special courses, and other consumer and non-consumer products. Remember this: gift certificates and gift vouchers with specific amount are better than giving cash of the same value. Promotional items such as pen set, calendar, diaries, paperweight, key holders, key chains, shirts, umbrellas, wall clocks, etc. are also good corporate Christmas gifts particularly to general employees and regular costumers. They are cheap, easy to give, and useful in everyday office duties. For high executives and top business partners, top-notch gifts such as vacation packages abroad and vacation cruise are some of your options. For both male and female executives, leather items such as leather briefcases, leather business card holder, leather paper tray, leather wallet, and leather desk pad. Collector’s items such as commemorative coins and historical artifacts are also ideal to people with great interest to such things. Fine-crafted items such as cigar box, crystals, leather products, etc are also fine gifts that can be given to executives and partners. The main aim here is to satisfy the recipient’s taste to luxury at the same time, give you the opportunity to be remembered for the gift you have given. Other corporate Christmas gift ideas you can consider are apparel, automotive accessories, beauty products, bags and cases. pocket and purse items, office accessories, cards and bookmarks, pens and writing instruments, office supplies, snacks, food and beverage, planners, computer media and accessories, office equipment, golf equipment, sporting goods, sports accessories, electronics and gadgets, novelty items, hats and caps, health products, safety equipment, home and housewares, magnetic items, mugs, cups, and drinkware, tools and hardware items, outdoor items, watches, wine, spirit, and accessoriesWhatever item you gift, giving a perfect gift does have to be based on the price alone. Rather, it should be based upon the proper selection that it treated with care, passion, and great respect.

Unique Christmas Gift Ideas that will Make People Say – Wow

Wednesday, January 6th, 2010

Let’s face it. Christmas gifts can be down right boring sometimes. Some givers get stuck in a rut of buying the same thing for the same person every single year. While the person may actually like the gift they’re getting, the giver is certainly playing it safe by not even trying to come up with an original idea. Eventually, this mundane sameness will lead to the recipient devaluing that gift because there’s just nothing to get worked up about.

On the other hand, finding that perfect unique gift for someone isn’t necessarily all that easy, either. Probably why many people take the easy way out. However, if you want your gift to stand out from the crowd and really be appreciated, you need to find something truly unique. Now unique can mean different things to different people. There are two types of unique Christmas gift ideas.

The first type of unique gift idea is to find something that is familiar to the person. Pick a certain category, then find a unique item that you’re sure they’ll like in that same category. Say, for instance, your recipient likes cologne. Okay, you know they like a certain brand of cologne, but, there’s this new brand that you’ve smelled and it has kind of a funky, exotic scent that you just know this person will love. Because this person likes to wear a lot of cologne and is open minded, you know he’ll enjoy receiving something unique that he’s never worn before.

Another example of this is if you have a friend who loves to watch old black and white movies. They are constantly talking about this great old movie they saw the other night. Okay, so you think to yourself about what you can give this person that relates to old movies. Since you’re not too familiar with old movies, you don’t want to try picking a DVD – they may hate your choice. Instead, you decide to give them a beautiful coffee table book that features old movie stars from the past. The book gives extensive history on each star and has stunning photos. This is a unique gift that your friend will appreciate because they’ll recognize many of the stars.

The second type of unique gift idea is the “complete surprise” item. This gift could be anything from a fun, novelty item, to tickets to a Broadway show. It’s way more risky than a familiar category, but has a bigger “wow” factor. Many people buy these types of gifts without much thought to whether or not the recipient will actually like it. Usually, it’s something the gift giver likes and thinks is cool. Before you choose a gift item that has a big surprise factor, give a lot of thought to what THEY would enjoy.

If you’re picking out a unique novelty item to give someone, make sure they will find the humor in it, or enjoy its fun factor. The last thing you want is for someone to open your gift and go: What is this thing, and what am I supposed to do with it? These types of gifts usually end up being re-gifted, or being sold at a garage sale for $1. In addition to that, the person may associate you with being an awful gift picker. If you’re giving something unique like theatre tickets, a cruise trip or even dinner for two, make sure that the recipient actually wants to attend such an event, or go to this place. If they’re homebodies, then this will be a big waste of your money.

While there are plenty of unique Christmas gift ideas around, the most important thing is to make sure your unique gift perfectly matches the recipient’s taste and personality.
