Required age to book a Disney Cruise?
I’m 18 and want to go over spring break with another friend who is under 21 on a Disney Cruise. If you’re under 21, do you have to go with someone who is older than 21? Some cruises won’t let young adults 18-20 book on their own.
Update: I already checked the official site, and I couldn’t find what I was looking for. They said what applied for minors under 18 but not people over 18 and under 21.

I would have said yes since all the other major cruise lines say that. But I researched it.
This is what Vacations To Go says about it
The following cruise lines require that either 1) All passengers in a cabin must be 18 or older, or 2) If anyone in the cabin is younger than 18 years old, someone in the cabin must be 21 or older: Clipper, Disney Cruise Line, GAP Adventures, Silversea and Viking River Cruises.
Cruise Direct says
Minors under the age of 18 not traveling with a parent or legal guardian must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 21 in the same stateroom and must have the Cruise Contract signed by a parent or legal guardian. The signed Cruise Contract must be received upon Walt Disney World Resort check-in or prior to embarkation.
Now both of those should mean they will allow you to book a cabin at 18. I’d call the 1800 number when you book (instead of booking online) just to make sure–b/c that would make them the only major cruise line with that policy. Princess recently changed theirs so that someone over 21 must be responsible for someone under 21. But for now–it looks like you are safe. Of course that probably means you’ll get a different color card to mark that you are under 21/not able to purchase alcohol. But enjoy! Have a good time.
Disney and Oceania are indeed the two cruise lines that allows 18 year olds to cruise without someone 21+.
